Simon Tyrell talks about making wine, Les deus Cols and the life of a vigneron. Making wine is a combination of science, craft, experience, judgement and a certain amount of luck. Oh and then there is the weather. Simon Tyrell has been involved in wine all his working life. From Paris to Dublin via Plumpton and now the Rhone (although he still lives in Ireland!). He makes wine in a combination of vessels in his winery just east of Avignon and we sell three of them (he has more). His story is unusual to say the least. Maybe this is what makes his wines so special. Come and hear about the life of an Englishman who has made his life in Ireland and his approach to wine making which is - and I may be biased - revealing, informative and educational and an awful lot of fun.
